The Organic and DOP Extra Virgin Olive oil “Daya’s Italian Monovarietal” is 100% Tuscan. (DOP is a short for Protected Designation of Origin and its ensures that products are locally grown and packaged. It is also a sort of promise to the consumer indeed it means and guarantees that the DOP food was made by local farmers and artisans, using traditional methods). The olives are picked manually fairly early in the season and pressed immediately, to preserve the oil’s intensely fruity aromas and its fresh, pleasantly spicy taste. It is exceptionally fragrant with grassy notes, with a spicy taste and a pleasantly peppery finish.

Monovarietal olive oils are made with only one olive variety, or cultivar, to produce an oil with unique characteristics. When more than one variety is used, that’s a blend. Smoke point: 380 degrees fahrenheit so YES, you can even cook with it. Medium heat is always best to preserve nutrients.
